Ingredients
Directions
Place almond milk, ice, IsaLean Shake, peanut butter, peanuts, Graham cracker crumbs, and salt in blender.
Blend until smooth.
Garnish with remaining Graham cracker crumbs.
I tried this shake today, used 1 serving of Plant-Based Whole Blend Vanilla Chai IsaLean Shake.
Substitute 1 Tbsp of PB&Me instead of all-natural Peanut Butter.
The shake was a good consistency, but the graham cracker made it a bit grainy.
When I make this again and I will leave out the graham cracker.

The story of peanut butter begins with the peanut plant, originally native to South America. Archaeological evidence suggests that ancient Incas were among the first to grind peanuts into a paste. However, it wasn't until the late 19th and early 20th centuries that peanut butter started gaining commercial significance. Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, of cereal fame, patented a process for creating peanut butter from raw peanuts as a protein substitute for his vegetarian patients.
Transition into a Household Staple
From being a health food in sanitariums to a ration ingredient during World War II, peanut butter proved its versatility early on. Its protein content, long shelf life, and adaptability made it an ideal component of military rations. Post-war, it found its way back into American households, first as a luxury item and later as a staple. Today, peanut butter is so mainstream that it's hard to imagine an American pantry without it.
Peanut Butter and Shakes
The journey from spreadable paste to shake ingredient may seem unlikely, but it's not all that surprising considering the nutritional density of peanuts. Rich in protein and healthy fats, peanuts make an excellent source of sustained energy. This is what makes peanut butter a popular ingredient for shakes, especially in the fitness and health community. Combining it with other protein-rich elements, such as protein powder, amplifies the benefits, turning an average protein shake into a powerhouse of nutrients.

Versatility in Healthy Products
The beauty of peanut butter lies in its flexibility. Beyond shakes, it's often used in protein bars, smoothie bowls, and even vegan and gluten-free recipes. The use of peanut butter extends to various health products, from protein supplements to meal replacements, and even weight loss products. Its rich, creamy texture and nutritional profile make it an ideal additive to an array of health-conscious goods.
The Rise of Specialized Peanut Butters
As consumer awareness regarding sugar and additives has increased, the market for specialized peanut butters has expanded. You'll now find natural, organic, and even powdered peanut butter to suit various dietary needs. Brands offer low-fat, low-sodium, and high-protein versions, many of which are designed to better complement shakes and other health products.
Health Benefits
Besides being rich in protein, peanut butter is also an excellent source of antioxidants, dietary fiber, and various vitamins and minerals. These nutrients contribute to heart health, reduced risk of chronic diseases, and improved weight management when consumed in moderation.
